When I was young, we would be often asked to go to the clinic for our annual health check up. It was the usual or ordinary health check up that a child would not fear. When I got employed, I was asked to undergo a medical check which was totally different from what I had when I was in grade school. I was asked by my employer to have a blood test, dental check up, heart check up, eye check-up and urinalysis. These were totally new to me that time since I was young. Actually during the blood extraction, I was really afraid because I really hate needles. In the last ten years of my employment, I have gone through the annual health check-up. It became ordinary to me. However, last year, I had a different kind of experience. Our employer required us to undergo an Online STD test. All employees were surprised with this mandate from the administration. Since we sought for a dialogue, they readily agreed for a discussion. For us, the STD tests would mean invasion of our privacy. It is getting into something which is sensitive and private. Personally, my sexuality or my genitals is a very private thing. During the dialogue, the administration said that our sexual health is the most often neglected part of our health. There are a lot of sexual diseases which are spreading. They are also communicable. Some have genital warts which they are not so much concerned with. Later, we all realized the importance of our sexual health.
